Yakupov will not be reporting to his junior team, and will instead play for Neftekhimik Nizhnekamsk in the KHL.
|Aug. 30:||Oilers sign right winger
Eberle to a six-year, $36 million contract extension.
The deal will pay Eberle
$6 million per season and will keep him with the Oilers through the 2018-2019 season.
Last season, Eberle scored 34-42-76 with 10 PIM in 78 games with the Oilers. He has scored 52-67-119 with 32 PIM in two seasons with the Oilers.

Hall to a seven-year, $42 million contract extension.
The deal will pay Hall
$6 million per season and will keep him with the Oilers through the 2019-2020 season.
Last season, Hall scored 27-26-53 with 36 PIM in 61 games with the Oilers. He has scored 49-46-95 with 63 PIM in two seasons since being drafted first overall in the 2010 NHL Entry Draft.

Vande Velde to one-year contracts.
Plante scored 1-13-14 with 84 PIM in 41 games with Oklahoma City of the American Hockey League last season, and added 0-1-1 with 2 PIM in 3 games with Edmonton.
Vande Velde scored 7-16-23 with 33 PIM in 68 games with Oklahoma City, and added 1-0-1 with 2 PIM in 5 games with the Oilers.
|July 23:||Oilers sign right winger Nail Yakupov to a three-year NHL entry level contract. Yakupov, the first overall pick in the 2012 NHL Entry Draft, scored 31-38-69 with 30 PIM in 69 games with the Sarnia Sting of the Ontario Hockey League last season.|
|July 20:||Oilers re-sign centre Sam Gagner to a one-year, $3.2 million contract, avoiding salary arbitration. Gagner scored 18-29-47 with 36 PIM in 75 games with the Oilers last season.|
|July 16:||Oilers re-sign defenceman Theo Peckham to a one-year, $1,075 million contract. Peckham scored 1-2-3 with 80 PIM in 54 games with the Oilers last season.|
|July 5:||Oilers centre Sam Gagner files for salary arbitration. If he is unable to come to terms on a new contract with the Oilers, his salary will be determined by an arbitrator on July 20. Because he has filed for arbitration, Gagner is now unable to sign an offer sheet with another team.|
|July 5:||Oilers re-sign defenceman Jeff Petry to a two-year contract that will pay him $1.75 million in each season. Petry scored 2-23-25 with 26 PIM in 73 games with the Oilers last season.|
|July 5:||Oilers re-sign goaltender Devan Dubnyk to a two-year contract that will pay him $3.5 million in each season. Dubnyk had a record of 20-20-3 with a 2.67 goals-against average and a .914 save percentage in 47 games with the Oilers last year. He will be an unrestricted free agent at the end of the new contract.|
|July 4:||Oilers sign unrestricted free agent left winger Dane Byers to a one-year, two-way contract. Byers played most of last season with the Springfield Falcons of the American Hockey League, where he scored 16-23-39 with 108 PIM. He also dressed for 8 games with the Columbus Blue Jackets, going scoreless with 29 PIM.|
|July 1:||Oilers re-sign left winger Darcy Hordichuk to a one-year, $850,000 contract. Hordichuk, who would have been an unrestricted free agent, scored 1-2-3 with 64 PIM in 43 games with the Oilers last season.|
|July 1:||Oilers re-sign goaltender Yann Danis to a one-year, two-way contract. Danis, who would have been an unrestricted free agent, had a record of 26-14-2 with a 2.07 GAA, a .924 save percentage and five shutouts in 43 regular season games with Oklahoma City of the American Hockey League. He was also named as the AHLís outstanding goalie.|
|July 1:||Oilers re-sign left winger Ryan Smyth to a two year, $4.5 million contract. Smyth, who would have been an unrestricted free agent, will earn $2.25 million in each of the next two years. Last season, he scored 19-27-46 with 82 PIM in 82 games with the Oilers.|
|June 30:||Oilers sign defenceman David Musil to a three-year entry level contract. Musil, the Oilers 2nd round pick (31st overall) in the 2011 NHL Entry Draft, has played the past three seasons with the Vancouver Giants of the Western Hockey League. Last season, he scored 6-21-27 with 104 PIM in 59 games.|
|June 27:||Oilers name Ralph Krueger as the 11th head coach in team history. Krueger has spent the past two seasons as associate coach with the Oilers. He has previous head coaching experience with Germany and Switzerland.|
