Nov. 24: Oilers reassign defenceman Shawn Belle to Oklahoma City of the American Hockey League.  Belle was scoreless in four games with Edmonton during his recall.
Nov. 18: Oilers recall goaltender Martin Gerber from Oklahoma City of the American Hockey League.  In 13 games with Oklahoma City this year, Gerber has a record of 9-4-0 record with a 2.56 GAA, and a .911 save percentage.  The recall comes after goaltender Nicolai Khabibulin was placed on the NHL Injured Reserve List after suffering a groin injury.  He is expected to be out of the lineup for at least a week.
Nov. 16: Oilers recall left winger Jean-Francois Jacques and defenceman Shawn Belle from Oklahoma City of the American Hockey League.

OCTOBER, 2010
Date Transaction
Oct. 6: Oilers re-assign defenceman Sheldon Souray to the Hershey Bears of the American Hockey League, the Washington Capitals' farm team.  Now that he has been demoted, Souray will be subject to re-entry waivers should the Oilers decide to recall him for any reason, meaning that any NHL team can claim him for half his remaining salary.  In that scenario, the Oilers would be on the hook for the remainder of his salary for both this season and 2011-12.
Oct. 6: Oilers name Shawn Horcoff as the team's 13th captain.  Horcoff, who was drafted by the Oilers in the 4th round (99th overall) of the 1998 NHL Entry Draft, has scored 133-241-374 with 417 penalty minutes in 637 career NHL games.
Oct. 4: Oilers cut eight players, reducing their roster to 25 players:

ASSIGNED TO OKLAHOMA CITY (AHL):
.
Forwards Forwards Goaltender
Linus Omark
Chris Vande Velde
.
PLACED ON WAIVERS FOR THE PURPOSES OF REASSIGNMENT:
.
Forwards Defencemen
Alexandre Giroux
Ryan O’Marra
Ben Ondrus
Liam Reddox
Shawn Belle
Richard Petiot
.
.
Oct. 1: Defenceman Sheldon Souray and goaltender Martin Gerber have both cleared NHL waivers.  Gerber will now be assigned to Oklahoma City of the American Hockey League, but the status of Souray is more muddy.  The Oilers will likely continue to try to work out a trade for the disgrunted defenceman until the Oct. 6 deadline to declare their opening 23 man roster.
