JOINS OILERS AS ASSOCIATE COACH
July 30 Oilers appoint Ralph Krueger Associate Coach with the hockey club. Krueger has coached in Germany and Switzerland.

Stone has signed a one-year, $500,000 contract with the Calgary Flames.
Stone, who was an unrestricted free agent, scored 0-6-6 with 48 PIM in
27 games with the Oilers last season
Oilers release Springfield
Falcons head coach Rob
Daum. Daum, whose contract was about to expire at the end of
June, compiled a record of 25-39-0 with the Falcons last year, which was
dead last in the American Hockey League.
Oilers elect not to renew
the contract of amateur scout Chris McCarthy. McCarthy had been with
the Oilers organization for 18 years.
Oilers
fire head medical trainer Ken Lowe, head equipment manager Barrie Stafford
and equipment manager Lyle “Sparky” Kulchisky. In a prepared statement,
Oilers general manager Steve Tambellini said the moves were not a reflection
of the job the three men had done, but were rather an attempt to change
the culture of the Oilers dressing room.
OILERS WIN DRAFT LOTTERY April 13, 2010 The Oilers have won the NHL draft lottery and will select first overall in the 2010 NHL Entry Draft in Los Angeles on June 25. The Oilers will choose between the top two rated propects, centre Tyler Seguin of the Ontario Hockey League Plymouth Whalers and winger Taylor Hall of the OHL Windsor Spitfires. The
