Oilers sign left-winger Teemu Hartikainen to a three-year NHL entry level contract.  Hartikainen, the Oilers sixth round choice (163rd overall) in the 2008 NHL Entry Draft, scored 15-18-33 with 
22 PIM in 53 games with KalPa Kuopio of the Finnish National League last season.

May 5:
Oilers sign left-winger Philippe Cornet to a three-year NHL entry level contract.  Cornet, the Oilers 5th round choice (133rd overall) in the 2008 NHL Entry Draft, scored 28-49-77 with 32 PIM in 65 games with Rouyn-Noranda of the QMJHL last season.

Apr. 5:
Oilers sign forward Linus Omark to a two-year NHL entry level contract.  Omark, the Oilers fourth round pick (97th overall) in the 2007 NHL Entry Draft, scored 20-16-36 with 34 PIM in 56 games with Moscow Dynamo of the Kontinental Hockey League this season.

Oilers sign centre Chris Vande Velde to a two-year NHL entry level contract. Vande Velde, a fourth round pick  (97th overall) in the 2005 NHL Entry Draft, scored 16-25-41 with 69 PIM in 42 games with the University of North Dakota in the NCAA this season.  He will report to the Springfield Falcons for the remainder of this year.

Mar. 31: Oilers sign forward Charles Linglet to a one-year contract, and recall him from the Springfield Falcons of the American Hockey League.  Linglet, who signed an AHL deal with Springfield last summer, leads the Falcons in scoring with 19-55-74 in 75 games.  His NHL contract is for the final six games of the Oilers season.
Mar. 26:
Oilers sign defenceman Jeff Petry to a two-year NHL entry level contract.  Petry, the Oilers 2nd round pick (45th overall) in the 2006 NHL Entry Draft, scored 4-25-29 with 26 PIM in 38 games with Michigan State University of the NCAA.  Petry is forgoing his final year of university to turn pro with the Oilers organization next year.  He will finish this season with the Springfield Falcons of the American Hockey League.

Mar. 23: Oilers sign goaltender Nathan Deobald from the University of Calgary Dinos to an Amateur Tryout contract.  Neobald dressed as the Oilers backup goaltender for a game against Vancouver after netminder 
Devan Dubnyk came down with a case of the flu.
Mar. 22: Oilers recall defenceman Dean Arsene from the Springfield Falcons of the American Hockey League.  The recall was required after defenceman Theo Peckham suffered a season-ending shoulder injury in a game against San Jose on March 21.
Mar. 20: Oilers re-assign centre Chris Minard to the Springfield Falcons of the American Hockey League. Minard scored one assist in 5 games during his callup to Edmonton.
Mar. 10: Oilers recall centre Chris Minard from the Springfield Falcons of the American Hockey League. Minard has scored 15-10-25 with 12 PIM in 31 games with Springfield this season.
Mar. 4: Oilers re-assign defencemen Dean Arsene and Johan Motin to the Springfield Falcons of the American Hockey League.

Oilers trade defenceman Steve Staios to the Calgary Flames for defenceman Aaron Johnson and a third round draft pick. 

Johnson, who was originally drafted by the Columbus Blue Jackets in the 3rd round (85th overall) of the 2001 NHL Entry Draft, has scored 1-2-3 with 19 PIM in 22 games with Calgary this season.  He will be an unrestricted free agent after this season.

Staios has scored 0-7-7 with 59 PIM in 40 games with Edmonton this season.  He is under contract for one more season for $2.2 million.

Calgary will get to choose whether the third round pick included in the deal is in 2010 or 2011.

Mar. 3:
Oilers trade defenceman Lubomir Visnovsky to the Anaheim Ducks for defenceman
Ryan Whitney and a 2010 sixth round draft pick.

Whitney has scored 4-24-28 with 48 PIM in 62 games with Anaheim this season.  In 335 career NHL games, the 6'4" 219-pounder has scored 38-150-188 with 283 PIM.

Visnovsky had scored 10-22-32 with 16 PIM in 57 games with Edmonton.

Both players were under contract through the 2012-2013 season.  Whitney's annual salary cap hit is $4 million, which is $1.6 million less than Visnovsky's hit of $5.6 million.

Mar. 3: Oilers recall defencemen Dean Arsene and Johan Motin from the Springfield Falcons of the American Hockey League.

Oilers claim right winger Ryan Jones off waivers from the Nashville Predators.

Jones, who was originally selected in the 4th round (111th overall) by the Minnesota Wild in the 2004 NHL Entry Draft, has played 41 games with the Predators this season, scoring 7-4-11 with 18 PIM.

Oilers trade minor league defenceman Cody Wild to the Boston Bruins for minor league forward Matt Marquardt.  Marquardt, who was originally drafted by the Columbus Blue Jackets in the 7th round (194th overall) in the 2006 NHL Entry Draft, has scored 1-9-10 with 21 PIM in 42 games with the Providence Bruins of the American Hockey League this season.

Wild, the Oilers 5th round pick (140th overall) in 2006, has scored 0-14-14 with 24 PIM in 37 games with the Springfield Falcons of the AHL.

Oilers trade defenceman Denis Grebeshkov to the Nashville Predators for a second round pick in the 2010 NHL Entry Draft. 

Grebeshkov, who would have been a restricted free agent at the end of the season, had scored 6-13-19 with 26 PIM and a -16 rating in 47 games with the Oilers this year.

Feb. 14: Oilers re-assign goaltender Devan Dubnyk to the Springfield Falcons of the American Hockey League.
Feb. 9: Oilers recall goaltender Devan Dubnyk from the Springfield Falcons of the American Hockey League and re-assign goaltender Bryan Pitton to Springfield. 
Feb. 7: Oilers activate defencemen Steve Staios and Ladislav Smid off the NHL Injured Reserve List, and re-assign defencemen Alex Plante and Taylor Chorney to the Springfield Falcons of the American Hockey League.
Feb. 4: Oilers recall goaltender Bryan Pitton from the Springfield Falcons of the American Hockey League and re-assign goaltender Devan Dubnyk to Springfield.  The move was made to allow Dubnyk to play in enough AHL games to qualify for re-assignment during the NHL Olympic break.
