OILERS
ELIMINATED FROM POST SEASON CONTENTION
April
1, 2008
A 3-2
loss to the Calgary Flames, combined with a 4-3 win by Nashville over St.
Louis, has officially eliminated the Oilers from post-season contention.
The Oilers looked dead in the water in late February, but a 10-4-1 record
in March had the team battling for the final playoff spot in the Western
Conference. The Oilers will finish last in the Northwest Division,
and will miss the playoffs for the fourth time in the last six seasons. |
