Jan. 26: Oilers recall forward Zack Stortini from the Hamilton Bulldogs of the AHL.
Jan. 21: Oilers re-assign forward Zack Stortini to the Hamilton Bulldogs of the AHL.  Stortini went scoreless with 10 PIM in his only game with the Oilers.
Jan. 20: Oilers re-assign defenceman Tom Gilbert to the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins of the AHL. 
Jan. 19: Oilers place defenceman Steve Staios on the NHL Injured Reserve List with a strained knee, and recall forward Zack Stortini from the Hamilton Bulldogs of the AHL.
Jan. 9: Oilers recall defenceman Tom Gilbert from the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins of the AHL. Gilbert has scored 3-17-20 with 24 PIM in 33 games with Wilkes-Barre/Scranton this season.
Jan. 7: Oilers recall left winger Patrick Thoresen to the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins of the AHL and re-assign centre Marc-Antoine Pouliot and left winger Jean-Francois Jacques to Wilkes-Barre/Scranton.  In two games since his demotion Wilkes-Barre/Scranton, Thoresen has scored 1-4-5 with 2 PIM.
Jan. 4: Oilers place defenceman Ladislav Smid on the on the NHL Injured Reserved List after he suffered a sprained left shoulder in a game against Dallas.  Defenceman Mathieu Roy has been recalled from the Hamilton Bulldogs of the AHL.

Oilers sign left winger Viatcheslav Trukhno to a three year NHL entry level contract.  Trukhno, who was drafted by the Oilers in the fourth round (120th overall) of the 2005 NHL Entry Draft, has scored 16-47-63 with 36 PIM in 35 games with Gatineau of the QMJHL this season.  Over his three junior seasons, Trukhno has scored 69-149-218 in 159 games.

Nedved
Oilers claim centre Petr Nedved off re-entry waivers from the Philadelphia Flyers.  Under NHL rules, the Oilers will only have to pay for about half of Nedved's pro-rated $2.356 million salary, which will amount to about $630,000 for the remainder of the season.

Nedved has struggled this year, scoring just 1-6-7 with 18 PIM and a -20 rating in 28 NHL games with the Flyers.  In 14 games with their AHL affiliate, Nedved has added 4-7-11 with 10 PIM and a -8 rating..

This is Nedved's second stint with the Oilers.  He played 16 games with Edmonton during the 2003-04 season after being acquired at the trade deadline and went on to score 5-10-15 down the stretch.  However, it wasn't enough to help the Oilers make the playoffs that season.
Jan. 2: Oilers re-assign left winger Patrick Thoresen to Wilkes-Barre/Scranton of the AHL.  Thoresen has scored 2-7-9 with 33 PIM in 32 games with the Oilers this year.

Dec. 27: Oilers recall defenceman Jan Hejda from the Hamilton Bulldogs of the AHL and re-assign defenceman 
Mathieu Roy to Hamilton.  Roy did not play a game during his call-up.
Dec. 20: Oilers re-assign right winger Alexei Mikhnov to Wilkes-Barre/Scranton of the AHL.  Mikhnov was held without a point in the one game that he played since his recall.
Dec. 13: Oilers re-assign defenceman Jan Hejda to the Hamilton Bulldogs of the AHL and recall defenceman 
Mathieu Roy to take his place.  Hejda is being sent to the minors to get some playing time, and the Oilers have indicated that he will be recalled prior to the holiday roster freeze.  In eight games this season, Hejda has scored 0-1-1 with 4 PIM.
Dec. 3: Oilers place left winger Ryan Smyth on the NHL Injured Reserve List and recall right winger Alexei Mikhnov from Wilkes-Barre/Scranton of the AHL.  Smyth suffered a broken right thumb in the Dec. 2 game against Columbus and will be out of the Oilers' lineup for at least a month.  Mikhnov has scored 3-7-10 in 13 games with Wilkes-Barre/Scranton this season.
Dec. 1: Oilers re-assign defenceman Danny Syvret to Grand Rapids of the AHL and recall left winger Jean-Francois Jacques from Wilkes-Barre/Scranton.

Nov. 29: Oilers recall centre Marc-Antoine Pouliot from the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins of the AHL.  Pouliot has scored 8-10-18 with 12 PIM in 18 games with the Penguins so far this season.

Pouliot was recalled after right winger Ales Hemsky was injured in the first period of the Nov. 28 game against Anaheim.  Hemsky suffered an undisclosed injury to his right shoulder.

Nov. 29: Oilers re-assign goaltender Jeff Drouin-Deslauriers to Wilkes-Barre/Scranton of the AHL.
Nov. 27: Oilers recall goaltender Jeff Drouin-Deslauriers from Wilkes-Barre/Scranton and defenceman Danny Syvret from Grand Rapids.  In 10 games with Wilkes-Barre/Scranton this season, Deslauriers has an 8-2 record with a 2.36 GAA and a .903 save percentage.  Syvret has scored 3-6-9 with 4 PIM in 21 tgames with Grand Rapids.
Nov. 22: Oilers re-assign forward Zack Stortini to the Hamilton Bulldogs of the AHL.
Nov. 21:
Oilers sign defenceman Steve Staios to a four year, $10.8 million contract extension which will run to the end of the 2010-11 season.  The deal will reportedly pay Staios $2.9 million in each of the first two years, $2.8 million in the third year and $2.2 million in the final season.

Nov. 20: Oilers recall forward Zack Stortini from the Hamilton Bulldogs of the AHL.  In 16 games with the Bulldogs this year, Stortini has scored 6-0-6 and added 60 PIM. 
Nov. 19: Oilers re-assign left winger Jean-Francois Jacques to Wilkes-Barre/Scranton of the AHL.  Jacques has been held pointless in the four games that he has played with the Oilers this season. 
Nov. 3: Oilers re-assign right winger Alexei Mikhnov to Wilkes-Barre/Scranton of the AHL.  Mikhnov was held pointless in the one game that he played with the Oilers this season.

Oct. 27: Oilers recall centre Toby Petersen from the Iowa Stars of the AHL.  Petersen had scored 2-6-8 in seven games with the Stars so far this season.
Oct. 23: Oilers place left winger Ethan Moreau on the NHL Injured Reserved List after he suffered a dislocated right shoulder in a game against Detroit.  The injury will require surgery, which will keep Moreau out of action for three to four months.

Oilers sign left winger Ethan Moreau to a four year, $8 million contract extension which will run to the end of the 2010-11 season.  Moreau, one of the Oilers' assistant captains, scored 11-16-27 with 87 PIM in 74 regular season games last year.  In 21 playoff games, he added 2-1-3 with 19 PIM.
Oct. 3: Oilers re-assign centre Marc-Antoine Pouliot to Wilkes-Barre/Scranton of the AHL.  The move reduces the Oilers' roster to the 23 man limit in time for opening night.
Oct. 2: Oilers re-assign defenceman Mathieu Roy to the Hamilton Bulldogs of the AHL, and demote goaltender 
Devan Dubnyk to the Stockton Thunder of the ECHL.  The moves leave the team with 24 players on its active roster, one over the limit.
