Sept. 28: Oilers re-assign goaltender Jeff Drouin-Deslauriers to Wilkes-Barre/Scranton of the AHL.
Sept. 27: Oilers sign defenceman Sebastien Bisaillon to a three-year entry level contract.  Bisaillon was not drafted, but came to the Oilers' training camp on a tryout and earned a contract.  He scored 35-36-71 in 63 games last season with Val-d'Or of the QMJHL
Sept. 27: Oilers cut two more players from their training camp roster, reassigning centre Jonas Almtorp to Brynas IF Gavle of the Swedish Elite League and left wing Fredrik Pettersson to Calgary of the WHL.
Sept. 25: Oilers re-assign left winger Troy Bodie to Wilkes-Barre/Scranton of the AHL.

Sept. 14: The Oilers have made their first training camp cut, reassigning centre Fredrik Johansson to Frolunda HC Goteborg of the Swedish Elite League.  Johansson has a year left on his contract with the Swedish club.
Sept. 13: Oilers sign right winger Joffrey Lupul to a three-year, $6.935 million contract.  The deal will reportedly pay Lupul $1.5 million this season, $2,535,000 in 2007-08 and $2.9 million in the final year.  Lupul, who was acquired from Anaheim in the off-season trade for Chris Pronger, scored 28-25-53 in 81 games last year, and added 9-2-11 in 16 playoff games. 
Sept. 5: Oilers sign forward Alexei Mikhnov and defenceman Mathieu Roy to undisclosed one-year contracts.

Mikhnov, the Oilers' first round pick (17th overall) in the 2000 NHL Entry Draft, has finally come over to North America after playing the last nine seasons in Russia.  Last season, he scored 14-18-22 with 18 PIM in 40 games with Lokomotiv Yaroslavl of the Russian Superliga.

Roy, the Oilers'  7th round pick (215th overall) in 2003, scored 3-16-19 with 82 PIM in 50 games with the Hamilton Bulldogs of the AHL last season.  He also played one game with the Oilers last year.

Aug. 28: Oilers re-sign centre Toby Petersen to a one-year contract and sign left winger Tim Sestito to a two-year entry level deal. 

Petersen scored 26-47-73 in 79 games with the Iowa Stars of the AHL last season.  He added 1-0-1 in two playoff games with Edmonton.

Sestito scored 21-23-44 with 127 PIM in 72 games with the Greenville Grrrowl of the ECHL.

Aug. 11:
Oilers sign unrestricted free agent right winger Petr Sykora to one-year, $2.9 million contract.  Sykora scored 23-28-51 with 50 PIM in 74 games with Anaheim and the New York Rangers last year.  He is expected to help boost the Oilers' power-play after scoring 8-14-22 with the man advantage last year.

July 25:
Oilers re-sign right winger Ales Hemsky to six year, $24.6 million contract.  The deal will take Hemsky three years beyond unrestricted free agency and will keep him in Edmonton until the end of the 2011-12 season.  Hemsky led the Oilers in scoring last year with 19-58-77 in 81 games.  He added 6-11-17 in 24 playoff games.

Oilers re-sign centre Jarret Stoll to a two year, $4.4 million contract.  Stoll, who will earn $2.2 million in each of the next two seasons, scored 22-46-68 in 82 regular season games with the Oilers last season.  He added 4-6-10 in 24 playoff games.
July 21:
Oilers sign defenceman Tom Gilbert to a two-year contract.  Gilbert, who has played the last four seasons with the University of Wisconsin of the NCAA, scored 12-19-31 with 32 PIM in 43 games last year.  The 6’3”, 210-pound blueliner was obtained from the Colorado Avalanche in exchange for Tommy Salo on March 8, 2004. He was originally drafted in the fourth round (129th overall) in the 2002 Entry Draft.

July 20: Oilers sign head coach Craig MacTavish to a four-year contract extension.  MacTavish has a record of 190-160-60 in 410 games in his five seasons as head coach of the Oilers.

Horcoff
Oilers re-sign centre Shawn Horcoff to a three-year, $10.8 million contract.  Horcoff, who could have become an unrestricted free agent after the 2006-2007 season, will earn $3.6 million in each of the next three years.  Horcoff was second in team scoring last season with 22-51-73 in 79 games.  He added 7-12-19 in 24 playoff games, which also ranked second in team post-season scoring.
July 14: Oilers sign defenceman Jan Hejda to an undisclosed one-year contract.
July 10:
Oilers acquire the rights to defenceman Jan Hejda from the Buffalo Sabres in exchange for a seventh round pick in the 2007 NHL Entry Draft.

Hejda, who was drafted by the Sabres in the fourth round (109th overall) in the 2003 NHL Entry Draft, has played his entire career in Europe.  Last season, he scored 3-12-15 with 56 PIM in 50 games with Mytishi Khimik of the Russian Superleague.

Oilers sign unrestricted free agent defenceman Daniel Tjarnqvist to a one-year, $1,625,000 contract.  Tjarnqvist scored 3-15-18 with 32 PIM in 60 games with the Minnesota Wild last season.
July 4:
Oilers sign unrestricted free agent centre Marty Reasoner to a two-year, $1.9 million contract.  Reasoner, who was traded to Boston by the Oilers in the Sergei Samsonov deal, scored 11-23-34 in 78 games with the two teams last year.  Reasoner's deal will pay him $950,000 in each of the two years.

Oilers trade defenceman Chris Pronger to the Anaheim Ducks in exchange for right winger
Joffrey Lupul, defenceman Ladislav Smid, the Ducks' first round selection in the 2007 NHL Entry Draft, a second round pick in the 2008 Entry Draft and a conditional first round pick in 2008 (believed to be contingent upon the Ducks making the Stanley Cup Final in the next two years). 

Lupul, who was born in Fort Saskatchewan, was the Ducks’ first round draft choice (7th overall) in the 2002 NHL Entry Draft.  He scored 28-25-53 in 81 games last year, and added 9-2-11 in 16 playoff games.  Lupul is an unsigned restricted free agent.

Smid, the Ducks' first round pick (9th overall) of the 2004 NHL Entry Draft, scored 3-25-28 in 71 games with the Portland Pirates of the AHL last season.  Smid has two more years remaining on his contract.

July 1:
Oilers re-sign goaltender Dwayne Roloson to a three-year, $11 million contract.  Roloson, who would have become an unrestricted free agent at noon, will earn $4 million in each of the first two years of the deal, and $3 million in the final year. He had a record of 8-7-4 with a 2.42 GAA and a .905 save percentage in 19 regular season games with the Oilers.  In 18 playoff games, Roloson had a record of 12-5 with a 2.33 GAA and 1 .927 save percentage.

Oilers re-sign left winger Fernando Pisani to a four-year, $10 million contract.  Pisani, who would have become an unrestricted free agent on July 1, scored 18-19-37 in 80 regular season games, but his stock really rose in the playoffs, where he added 14-4-18 in 24 games.
June 30 Oilers decline the option on the contract of center Todd Harvey, making him an unrestricted free agent as of July 1.
June 28: Oilers decline the $1.9 million option on the contract of goaltender Ty Conklin, making him an unrestricted free agent as of July 1.

Oilers sign left wing Liam Reddox to a three-year NHL entry level contract and sign Swedish centres Jonas Almtorp and Fredrik Johansson to two-year deals.

Reddox, the Oilers' 4th round pick (112th overall) in the 2004 NHL Entry Draft, scored 19-45-64 in 68 games with the Peterborough Petes of the OHL last season. He added 5-9-14 in 19 playoff games as Peterborough won the OHL title.

Almtorp, the Oilers' 4th round selection (111th overall) in the 2002 NHL Entry Draft, scored 6-6-12 in 50 games with Brynas IF Gavle of the Swedish Elite League last season. The 22-year-old forward has twice been a member of a Swedish national team.

Johansson, the Oilers' 9th round pick (274th overall) in the 2002 NHL Entry Draft, scored 7-15-22 in 41 games with Vastra Frolunda HC Goteborg of the Swedish Elite League last year.  He was also a member of Sweden's national junior team at the 2004 World Junior Championships.
