Oilers sign left wing Stephane Goulet and defenceman Bryan Young to three-year contracts and free agent centre Patrick Thoresen to a two-year deal.

Goulet, the Oilers' seventh round pick (208th overall) in the 2004 NHL Entry Draft, scored 51-42-93 in 67 games with the Moncton Wildcats of the QMJHL last season. He added 7-8-15 in 13 playoff games as Moncton claimed the QMJHL championship.

Young, the Oilers’ fifth round selection (146th overall) in the 2004 NHL Entry Draft, scored 0-10-10 in 64 games with Peterborough Petes of the OHL.

Thoresen scored 17-19-36 in 50 games with Djurgardens IF Stockholm in the Swedish Elite League.

May 24 Oilers sign goaltender Devan Dubnyk to a three-year NHL entry level contract. Dubnyk, the Oilers' first round pick (14th overall), in the 2004 NHL Entry Draft, had a record of  27-26-0 with a 2.54 GAA and .912 save percentage in 54 games with the Kamloops Blazers of the WHL last season.
May 12 Oilers recall center Rob Schremp from the London Knights after his teams was eliminated from the Ontario Hockey League playoffs.
May 5 Oilers recall goaltender Jeff Drouin-Deslauriers from the Greenville Grrrowl after his team was eliminated from the East Coast Hockey League playoffs.
May 1 Oilers recall centres Kyle Brodziak and Toby Petersen from the Iowa Stars after their team was eliminated from the  American Hockey League playoffs.
May 1 Oilers sign center Tyler Spurgeon to a three-year NHL entry level contract.  Spurgeon, the Oilers' 8th round pick (242nd overall) in the 2004 NHL entry draft, has spent the last four seasons with the WHL's Kelowna Rockets.  He scored 7-17-24 in 39 games with Kelowna in 2005-06, but was was sidelined for half the season due to a shoulder injury that required surgery.

Apr. 16 Oilers recall left winger Jean-Francois Jacques and defencemen Mathieu Roy and Danny Syvret from the Hamilton Bulldogs.  The players join the Oilers after the Bulldogs failed to qualify for the AHL playoffs.

Mar. 29 Oilers recall left winger Brad Winchester from the Hamilton Bulldogs.
Mar. 13 Oilers recall center Marc-Antoine Pouliot from the Hamilton Bulldogs of the AHL.  Pouliot has scored 15-31-46 with 63 PIM in 65 games with Hamilton this season.

Mar. 10 Oilers recall goaltender Ty Conklin from the Hartford Wolf Pack of the AHL.

Oilers acquire left winger Sergei Samsonov from the Boston Bruins in exchange for centers Marty Reasoner and Yan Stastny, as well as a second round pick in the 2006 NHL Entry Draft.

Samsonov, who will be an unrestricted free agent after this season, has scored 18-19-37 with 22 PIM in 55 games with the Bruins this season.  In 514 career NHL games, he has scored 164-212-376 with 103 PIM.

Reasoner has scored 9-17-26 with 20 PIM in 58 games with the Oilers this year.  In 292 career games, he has scored 45-78-123 with 141 PIM.  Reasoner is set to become an unrestricted free agent in the off-season as well.

Stastny, who was originally acquired from the Bruins back on Aug. 30, 2005, returns to Boston after being held pointless in 3 games with Edmonton this year.  He added 14-17-31 with 42 PIM in 51 games with the Iowas Stars of the AHL.

Oilers acquire goaltender Dwayne Roloson from the Minnesota Wild in exchange for a first round pick in the 2006 NHL Entry Draft.  Minnesota will also receive a third-round pick if the Oilers can re-sign Roloson, who will be an unrestricted free agent at the end of this season.

In 24 games with Minnesota this season, Roloson has a record of 6-17-0 with a 3.00 GAA and a .910 save percentage.  In 269 career games, he is 89-116-42 with a 2.50 GAA and a .911 save percentage.

Mar. 8 Oilers place goaltender Michael Morrison on waivers. Morrison had a 10-4-2 record with a 2.83 GAA and .884 save percentage in 21 games with Edmonton.
Mar. 7 Oilers activate center Mike Peca from the NHL Injured List, and reassign center Yan Stastny to the Iowa Stars of the AHL.

Murray
Oilers sign left winger Rem Murray to a one-year contract.  Murray, who has been playing with the Houston Aeros of the AHL this season, has scored 11-24-35 with 8 PIM in 54 games. He was signed for the league minimum of $450,000, of which the Oilers will pay approximiately $100,000 for the rest of the season.

This is Murray's second stint with the Oilers. He played 416 games with the team between 1996 to 2002, scoring 72-90-162 points with 121 PIM. In 38 playoff games, he added 5-8-13 points and 16 PIM. 

To make room for Murray on the roster, the Oilers reassigned left winger Brad Winchester to the Hamilton Bulldogs. 

Mar. 3 Oilers activate defenceman Jason Smith and left winger Ethan Moreau from the NHL Injured List, and place center Mike Peca and defenceman Matt Greene on the IRL. 

Smith has missed six games with a fractured toe, while Moreau was out of action for seven games due to a sprained right ankle.  Peca (groin injury) and Greene (bruised leg) take their spots on the IRL.

Feb. 28  Oilers recall center Yan Stastny from the Iowa Stars.  Statsny, the son of NHL great Peter Stastny, has scored 14-17-31 in 51 games with Iowa so far this season.
Feb. 27 Oilers recall left winger Brad Winchester from the Hamilton Bulldogs. 
Feb. 18 Oilers activate defenseman Igor Ulanov from the NHL Injured Reserve List and re-assign center Kyle Brodziak to the Iowa Stars of the AHL. 
Feb. 13 Oilers activate defenseman Dick Tarnstrom from the NHL Injured Reserve List and re-assign left winger 
Brad Winchester to the Hamilton Bulldogs.

Feb. 11 Oilers recall defenseman Mathieu Roy and left winger Brad Winchester from the Hamilton Bulldogs.  The moves come as a result of injuries to defenceman Igor Ulanov (ribs) and center Marty Reasoner (bruised lung).
Feb. 7 Oilers place defenceman Dick Tarnstrom on the NHL Injured Reserve List with a respiratory infection and recall center Kyle Brodziak from the Iowa Stars of the AHL.  Brodziak has scored 6-9-15 with 24 PIM in 28 games with Iowa.
Feb. 7 Oilers' goaltender Ty Conklin clears waivers

Oilers place goaltender Ty Conklin on waivers.  If he clears waivers, the Oilers can then fill his roster spot with another player and will have 10 games (or 30 days) to reassign him.  The team has been carrying three goaltenders for some time, and has run into roster problems lately with injuries to forwards Ethan Moreau and Mike Peca.

Conklin has struggled badly this season, posting a 5-5-0 record with a 3.12 GAA and a .872 save percentage in 13 games.
