Jan. 19:	Oilers recall defenceman SCOTT FERGUSON from the Hamilton Bulldogs.
Jan. 17:	Defenceman JANNE NIINIMAA is named to the World Team for the NHL All-Star Game.
Jan 16:	Oilers' captain DOUG WEIGHT is named to the North American Team for the NHL All-Star Game.
Jan. 14:	Oilers assign goaltender JOAQUIN GAGE to the Hamilton Bulldogs. Gage had a 2-2-0 record with a 3.47 GAA and a .880 save percentage in five games with Edmonton this season.
Jan. 12:	Oilers acquire defenceman RORY FITZPATRICK from the Nashville Predators in exchange for future considerations. Fitzpatrick was scoreless in a pair of games with Nashville this season, but has played the bulk of the year with the Milwaukee Admirals of the IHL where he has scored 0-2-2 in 22 games. He has been assigned to the Hamilton Bulldogs.
Jan. 11:	Oilers place center TODD MARCHANT on the injured reserve list with a separated left shoulder. Marchant is expected to miss the next three weeks. The injury brings to an end a streak of 234 consecutive games played by Marchant, who has scored 7-19-26 in 45 games this season.
Jan. 10:	Oilers claim goaltender DOMINIC ROUSSEL off waivers from the Anaheim Mighty Ducks. Roussel had a record of a 2-5-2 with a 2.85 goals-against average and .895 save percentage in 13 games with Anaheim this season. His acquisition gives the Oilers a solid backup with NHL experience, and likely signals a trip to Hamilton for backup Joaquin Gage.
Jan. 7:	Oilers place defenceman FRANK MUSIL on the injured reserve list with numbness in his right arm. Musil missed all of last season with damaged vertebrae in his neck after fell head first into the boards at practice in October of 1999. Team doctors have yet to derermine if the numbness in his arm is related to this injury.
Jan. 7:	Oilers announced that right winger JOSH GREEN will have to undergo surgery to repair a dislocated right shoulder and will miss the remainder of the season. It has been a hard-luck season for Green, who missed the first 40 games of the season recovering from left shoulder surgery. Two games into a conditioning stint with the Hamilton Bulldogs, he injured his other shoulder.

Dec. 30:	Oilers sign center MIKE COMRIE to a three year contract. Comrie, the Oilers' 3rd round pick (91st overall) in the 1999 NHL Entry Draft, would have become an unrestricted free agent had he not been signed by July 1. Comrie's deal is for the rookie salary cap of $1.025 million per season, plus incentives that could make the contract worth a total of $9 million.
Dec. 29:	Oilers reassign center BRIAN SWANSON to the Hamilton Bulldogs. Swanson had scored 1-1-2 in 16 games with the Oilers this season.
Dec. 29:	Oilers activate right winger JOSH GREEN from the injured reserve list and assign him to the Hamilton Bulldogs for conditioning purposes. Green, who was acquired from the New York Islanders as part of the Roman Hamrlik trade, has been out of the lineup since undergoing shoulder surgery during training camp
Dec. 27:	Oilers reassign defenceman SCOTT FERGUSON to the Hamilton Bulldogs. Ferguson played one game with the Oilers.
Dec. 18:	Oilers acquire center SERGEI ZHOLTOK from the Montreal Canadiens in exchange for center CHAD KILGER. The 28-year-old Zholtok scored 1-10-11 in 32 games with the Habs this season, while Kilger had 5-2-7 in 34 games with Edmonton.
Dec. 16:	Oilers recall defenceman SCOTT FERGUSON from the Hamilton Bulldogs. Ferguson has scored 3-14-17 with 36 PIM in 28 games with the 'Dogs this season.
Dec. 15:	Hamilton right winger MARK DEYELL announces his retirement. Deyell, who was signed to a 25 game tryout with the 'Dogs, was attempting a comeback after suffering an eye injury in 1999 while playing with the St. John's Maple Leafs. Although Deyell scored 4-5-9 in his 17 games with Hamilton, he decided to retire from hockey and accept an insurance settlement for his injury.
Dec. 14:	The NHL suspends defenseman IGOR ULANOV for two games for cross-checking Dallas Stars' left winger Brenden Morrow on Dec. 13. Ulanov will miss games against Nashville (Dec. 14) and Washington (Dec. 16).
Dec. 11:	Oilers reassign center JASON CHIMERA to the Hamilton Bulldogs. Chimera was held pointless in the one game he played with Edmonton.
Dec. 8:	Oilers recall center JASON CHIMERA from the Hamilton Bulldogs and reassign left winger PATRICK COTE to the AHL team. Chimera was the Bulldogs' fourth leading scorer with 11-9-20 n 24 games. Cote, meanwhile, has been held scoreless in the six games he has played with the Oilers. This is his third trip to Hamilton.
Dec. 5:	Oilers reassign center BRIAN SWANSON to the Hamilton Bulldogs. Swanson has seen limited duty with the Oilers this season, scoring 1-1-2 in 15 games. Swanson will play seven games for the Bulldogs from Dec. 8 to 17 before returning to Edmonton on Dec. 18.
Dec. 4:	Oilers place right winger MIKE GRIER on the Injured Reserve List with a dislocated right shoulder and recall center SHAWN HORCOFF from the Hamilton Bulldogs. Horcoff has scored 10-18-28 in 24 games with the 'Dogs.

Nov. 22:

Right winger ALEXANDER SELIVANOV signed a one year contract with the Columbus Blue Jackets. Selivanov, who scored 27-20-47 in 67 games with Edmonton last season, became an unrestricted free agent when the Oilers didn't make him a contract offer in the off-season.

Nov. 20:

The NHL names goaltender TOMMY SALO Player of the Week for the period of Monday, Nov. 13 through Sunday, Nov. 19. Salo posted a 2-0-1 record, 0.97 goals-against average, a .963 save percentage and two shutouts.

Nov. 10:

Oilers acquire right winger ANSON CARTER from the Boston Bruins in exchange for right winger BILL GUERIN. The Oilers also receive the Bruins' second round pick in the 2001 NHL Entry Draft, the option to flip first round picks with Boston in either 2001 or 2002, as well as future considerations.

Carter, who scored 22-25-47 in 59 games with the Bruiins last season, was engaged in a contract hold-out. The Oilers signed him to a two year, $3.8 million contract once the deal was complete. Guerin was Edmonton's second-leading scorer this season with 12-10-22 in 21 games.

Nov. 10:

Oilers reassign goaltender ERIC HEFFLER to the Hamilton Bulldogs and recall goaltender JOAQUIN GAGE and left-winger PATRICK COTE. Heffler backed up Tommy Salo for one game, but saw no action. Gage allowed 7 goals in two AHL games, posting a 1-1 record. Cote was scoreless in the one game he played, although he did make the scoresheet by getting into a fight.

Nov. 7:

In an effort to get both players more ice-time, goaltender JOAQUIN GAGE and left-winger PATRICK COTE are temporarily assigned to the Hamilton Bulldogs. The pair will play in a pair of AHL games before rejoining the Oilers. Goaltender ERIC HEFFLER has been recalled to backup Tommy Salo in Gage's absence.

Nov. 2:

Oilers sign goaltender TOMMY SALO to a three year contract extension, locking him up through the 2003-04 season. The deal also includes a club option for two additional seasons that could see Salo remain with the team until the end of the 2005-06 season. Salo would have become an unrestricted free agent after next season.

Oct. 31:	Oilers assign left-winger MICHEL RIESEN and defenceman BRAD NORTON to the Hamilton Bulldogs. After an outstanding pre-season, Riesen scored just one assist in 12 regular season games. Norton did not play a game after being placed on the injured reserve on Oct. 10 with a strained abdominal muscle.
Oct. 24:	Oilers recall left winger PATRICK COTE from the Hamilton Bulldogs. Cote was held scoreless in four games with the 'Dogs.
Oct. 20:	Oilers assign goaltender ALEXANDRE FOMITCHEV to the Asheville Smoke of the United Hockey League.
Oct. 12:	Defenceman CHRIS HAJT is sent back to Hamilton after playing one game with the Oilers.
Oct. 11:	After injuries to defencemen Brad Norton (abdomen) and Eric Brewer (hip), the Oilers recall defenceman CHRIS HAJT from the Hamilton Bulldogs.
Oct. 5:	Left winger PATRICK COTE is assigned to the Hamilton Bulldogs.
Oct. 4:	NHL suspends defenseman BRAD NORTON for three games for using physical force against a linesman during a fight in a Sept. 30 game against Calgary.
Oct. 3:	Oilers reduce their roster to the regular season 23-man limit. Left winger PATRICK COTE is placed on waivers, and will likely be assigned to the Hamilton Bulldogs if he is not claimed by another team. Left winger PAUL COMRIE, who spent all of the pre-season recovering from the effects of a concussion, is reassigned to Hamilton. Left winger JOSH GREEN, who is recovering from shoulder surgery, starts the season on the injured reserve list.
Oct. 2:	Oilers cut their roster down to 24 players, assigning center JASON CHIMERA and goaltender ERIC HEFFLER to the Hamilton Bulldogs and sending defenseman BRETT HAUER to Manitoba of the International Hockey League. The team still has to cut one more player before the season begins to reach its 23-man limit.
