Game Notes: In what was unquestionably one of their worst performances of the season, the Oilers lost to the last-place team in the NHL.  Islanders' netminder Rick DePietro picked up his first NHL win, and ex-Oiler Roman Hamrlik chipped in a goal and two assists.

Game Notes: Anaheim's Mike Leclerc scored with 1:06 left to give the Ducks a tie with the Oilers.  Special teams were a concern once again, as Edmonton went 0 for 7 on the power-play while the Ducks scored once in four attempts.  This is an area the Oilers must improve immediately if they hope to hold onto a playoff spot.
