There are numerous
hidden features in Moorhuhn 2.
|
 |
The
Rocks
The trick
to getting really high scores in Moorhuhn 2 lies in shooting the rocks,
not the chickens. There are 8 rocks, and if you shoot all of them
you will upgrade your bullets and be able to get bonus points. Be
careful, however, to shoot the spider three times before shooting
the final rock, or you will miss out on extra points. |
|
200
Point Spider
After shooting
the spider 3 times, shoot all 8 rocks. Then, when you shoot the spider
again,
it is
worth 200 points. |
|
866
Point Spider
To earn
even more points for shooting the spider, follow these steps:
1.
Shoot the spider 25 times.
2.
Shoot the 8 rocks to upgrade your ammunition.
3.
Shoot the spider once more to earn 866 points.

Knock
Down the Watchtower
Once you
have upgraded your bullets, shoot the watchtower ladder three times for
25
points. Shoot the middle of the watchtower stand 5
times to knock it over for another
25 points. |
 |
Sink
the Boat
Once you
have upgraded your bullets, shoot the boat three times to sink it and earn
50
points. |
|
Shoot
the Branches
Shoot off
the 4 branches of the 2 thin trees to upgrade your gun so it can reload
10 bullets instead of 8. |
|
Extra
Balloons
The order
that you shoot the scarecrow is important. When shot randomly, the
sky will fill with chickens when the final piece of the scarecrow is hit.
However, if shot in a specific sequence, a third set of balloons will appear
instead. The trade off is that the sky does not fill with chickens.
The sequence
is: left arm - right arm - left leg - right leg - body - head. |

Extra
Time
If you shoot
the clock tower, you lose 25 points but it adds 10 seconds to the game
clock.
If you
do this while your score is zero, you won't lose any points. |
|
Extra
Time, Part Two
If you shoot
the rose in the first 5 seconds, you get 5 seconds added to the game clock. |
|
Extra
Time, Part Three
If you shoot
4 rocks and then the frog, 5 seconds will be added to the gameclock when
it reaches 0:59. Caution: do not shoot any more rocks until
after the additional time is added.

Spider
Hero
If you shoot
the spider 25 times, the message "Spider Hero" appears and
you get
150 points. |
|
Balloon
Hero
If you shoot
25
balloons throughout the course of the game, the message "Balloon
Hero" appears and you are awarded 100 points.
As well, several of the large 25 point chickens appear so this bonus can
be worth as much as 200 points. |
|
The
Hiding Chicken
One of the
more annoying characters in Moorhuhn 2 is the large chicken that pops out
from behind the center tree and appears impossible to hit. There
is a way to hit it, but it requires
a bit
of patience.
1.
Shoot the trunk of the far left tree so leaves fall.
2.
Shoot exactly 10 leaves.
3.
Shoot the spider 5 times in a row.
4.
Shoot the hidden
leaf on the far right of the screen.
The large
chicken can now be hit. It's worth 250 points. |
|
150
Point Frog
The frog
is normally only worth 5 points, but if you follow these steps before
the game clock reaches 1:20 it is worth a lot more.
1.
Shoot the clock tower to get an extra 10 seconds.
2.
Shoot the small branches off the far left tree.
3.
Shoot the small branches off the far right tree.
4.
Shoot the far right tree just above the knot 10 times, until it breaks
apart.
5.
Shoot the far left tree just above the knot 10 times, until it breaks apart.
6.
Shoot the frog.
If you
do everything in the above list before the clock reaches 1:20, the frog
is worth
150 points.
Extra
balloons will now appear as well.
Note:
the chicken behind the stump also appears at this point, and it is worth
an extra
20 points. |
|
The
Chicken Behind the Stump
There is
a chicken hidden behind the stump to the left of the center tree.
In order to get it to appear, follow these steps..
1.
Shoot the small branches off the far left tree.
2.
Shoot the small branches off the far right tree.
3.
Shoot the far right tree just above the knot 10 times, until the tree breaks
apart.
4.
Shoot 10 leaves.
5.
Shoot the far left tree just above the knot 10 times, until the tree breaks
apart.
6.
Shoot 10 leaves.
The hidden
chicken should now appear. However, this is a lot of work to go through
for a measly 20 points. |

Jendrik
Mode
To put the
game into "Jendrik Mode", do all the following before the game timer
hits 1:00.
1.
Shoot the farmhouse.
2.
Shoot a standing
chicken.
3.
Shoot a 25 point chicken.
4.
Shoot a 10 point chicken, or two 5 point chickens.
5.
Shoot 3 leaves.
6.
Shoot the rose.
The sky
will fill with dozens of chickens, and your gun will upgrade to 10 bullets
for the remainder of the game. Unfortunately, despite watching your
score accumulate throughout the game, at the end of a Jendrik Mode game
your score will always read 0. |
|
Farmhouse
Windows
If you shoot
the windows of the farm house you normally get 25 points, but there is
a way to get more.
1.
At the beginning of the game, shoot the right tower for 10 more seconds.
2.
Shoot the windows of the farm for 75 points. (25,
20, 15, 10 and 5 points). For every window you also get a balloon.

Use
the keyboard
If you use
the left and right errors on your keyboard to control your movement, the
screen will scroll at least twice as fast as it does when using the mouse.
